About us

Jess and Javi, a story within the mountains

Hi! We want to welcome you to our wedding’s website. Thanks so much for joining us! We sincerely hope you enjoy our wedding day as well as some of the events and opportunities this special occasion offers you.

Many of you may be asking yourselves why is a couple living in Valencia getting married in the Pyrenees?” The answer is quite simple:  we have shared some of our best moments together in the diverse surroundings and natural landscapes of the Pyrenees mountains in the Aragon region, so why not celebrate this great day in one of our most favorite places!!

It all began in September of 2008 when we met during a post graduate course. On a memorable weekend in June of 2009, friendship led to a romantic story when we visited one of Valencia’s landmark massifs situated in the province of Castellon known as PenyagolosaFrom this moment forward, our love for the mountains did nothing but grow as we trailed the mountains together in Murla, Bernia and Castell de Castells in the province of Alicante.

Since then, year after year, we’ve enjoyed unforgettable mountain hikes throughout the Aragonese Pyrenees in places such as the National Parks of Ordesa and the Monte Perdido, the Circo de Gavarnie, the Añisclo Canyon, the peaks of the Infierno, the shelters of Respomuso, the breach of Rolando and the port of Bujaruelo. Our photo gallery below illustrates some of these scenic places.

One of our most remarkable climbs was at Santa Orosia (named after one of the Pyrenees’ patron saints), a neighboring mountain range by our family’s apartment in Sabiñanigo and where the saint’s shrine is located at the peak of the mountain. It was our first climb together in the region and the place where we became engaged to be married!

We practice many of our passionate pastimes in the region like skiing, skating, hiking, horse-back riding and canoeing.

We hope that this brief description helps you understand why we chose to celebrate our wedding in the Pyrenees. We’re sure you’ll be touched too by its beauty and magic during your short stay. We can’t wait to share these moments with you….!
